Immerse yourself in current events and unprecedented political changes in the capital of the United Kingdom. Participate in two Political Science courses over a four-week experience that will explore differing perspectives on international government and policies. Meet political party leaders and discuss politics in United Kingdom in the aftermath of Brexit. With London as your classroom you’ll visit historical sites that will provide context for recent shifts in the political landscape.

Exploring Identity, Place, and Representation through the Arts in Aix-en-Provence

In this study abroad program, led by UO instructor Lisa Abia-Smith, you will learn about post-impressionists Paul Cezanne and Vincent Van Gogh, who both retreated to the South of France. Provence offered a momentary sanctuary for these major artists to express notions of place, identity and representation. This Service-Learning program is designed to give students a firsthand look at the immigration challenges and border politics that face Spain and Northern Africa. Learn firsthand about Ghana’s media, as well as the country’s history, culture and development challenges. This six-week summer program begins with a required weekly meeting schedule during the spring term. Three to four days of on-site orientation meetings and lectures on Ghanian media will be followed by full-time, five-week internship placements.
