An east-coaster by birth and global citizen at heart, Diane has lived, studied, and traveled in Africa, Asia, Europe, Central America, and the Caribbean. Her semester abroad in Mali with the School for International Training (SIT) was the pivotal experience that determined her future path in international affairs. After graduating, Diane taught English in Thailand for three years and later earned a master's degree in international education from SIT. Diane is passionate about helping students discover their own places in the world. At the UO, she works with students heading to Europe and coordinates publicity for study abroad programs. Diane speaks conversational French and Thai, and basic Spanish. She thinks karaoke is a great way to learn languages! Whether traveling or at home, Diane loves getting outdoors, sampling street food, listening to and playing music, and spending time with friends and family.
