Tanaka Miller Scholarship for Residents of Hawaii

Annually, at least one $1,000-$2,000 scholarship will be awarded to students accepted for participation in UO-sponsored study abroad or international internship programs with a minimum length of one academic term. Selection is based on academic merit, financial need, and a well-completed scholarship application. Special consideration will be given to residents of Kauai and for students with Education, Business, or Journalism majors. The GEO Scholarships Committee will make the awards.

CMAE: Diversity Excellence Scholars Abroad

The Center for Multicultural Academic Excellence is committed to the access, retention, and engagement of under-represented and multiple identity students. CMAE provides support and leadership development, cultural programing, academic services, and dedicated space. Our mission is to ensure that students are provided with opportunities to explore, understand and affirm the complexities of cultural identity that shape the human experience.

Mills Study Abroad Scholarship

Approximately 30 to 40 scholarships of $500 will be awarded to students accepted for participation in UO-sponsored study abroad programs or IE3 internships. The Mills Scholarship can be used to cover the cost of the $500 Study Abroad Fee. Selection is based on financial need, academic merit, project proposal, and a well-completed scholarship application. The GEO Scholarships Committee will review applications and make the awards. Please email geoglobe@uoregon.edu with any questions.

Mills Study Abroad Scholarship Requirements

ItaliaRail Study Abroad Scholarship

ItaliaRail is committed to helping students study abroad in Italy — and immerse themselves in the country’s rich and dynamic culture. The ItaliaRail Scholarship is open to those who have enrolled in a study abroad program in Italy. ItaliaRail will be awarding 2 scholarships of $1,000 each, plus a 3-day Italy Rail Pass for each winner. 

Application Requirements:

Italy Study Abroad Scholarship

A scholarship of up to $10,000 is available for 1-2 students accepted for participation in the year-round exchange program with the University of Pavia, Italy. In the event there are no applicants for the Pavia exchange in any given year, the scholarship funds may be awarded to students participating in other language and culture programs in Italy, including Lecce, Siena Language & Culture, or Ferrara.

Additional Italy Study Abroad Scholarship Requirements:

Semester at Sea / ISE Scholarships

Semester at Sea offers a limited pool of both need-based aid (grants, work-study positions on board the ship, etc.) and academic scholarships for students participating in their program. The work-study awards are SAS-specific and do not involve federal work-study funds as used on the UO campus.

The work-study awards range up to $4,000 for semester voyages and up to $3,000 for summer voyages and involve two hours of work per day spent at sea in such locations as the SAS campus store, the library, and the computer lab.
