The IE3 Global Scholarship is presented to highly-qualified applicants to IE3 Global study abroad and internship programs who have financial need. This scholarship is in the form of a $500 - $1500 program fee reduction. To be eligible for this scholarship, you must have a complete application for an IE3 Global program, as well as a scholarship application.
Council on International Educational Exchange (CIEE) scholarships are available only to CIEE program participants. These grants are awarded each year to students who demonstrate both academic excellence and financial need. The awards are applied directly to the applicant’s CIEE program fee. Clark Honors College students can apply to different scholarships to study abroad, inlcuding two specifically created to serve Honors Students at the UO:
Roger and Ginny Reich Scholarship for Study Abroad - Tentatively Available
The Roger and Ginny Reich Scholarship awards $1,000 to a student at the Clark Honors College attending a UO-sponsored study abroad program for a minimum of one full term. Applicants must have a 3.70 GPA.
Scholarships are open to current UO undergraduate students who are declared majors or minors in the Romance Languages Department at the time of application as well as to all graduate students in the Romance Languages Department.

The UO Department of International Studies offers Judy Fosdick Oliphant Scholarships to support undergraduate majors fulfilling the international experience requirement for the International Studies major. Every Fall, Winter and Spring Terms, three to five Oliphant Scholarships will be awarded.
The UO College of Arts and Sciences offers numerous undergraduate scholarships and graduate fellowships for continuing students only. Many of these scholarships may be applied to your study abroad program costs. The Hildegard Kurz Foreign Language Scholarship offers grants of $1,000 – $3,000 for students studying language abroad.
In memory of Jack Watson, former UO Department of Theatre Arts faculty leader for the London Theatre Program across sixteen years, this scholarship fund is designated to support students hoping to participate in the London program. Recipients must be Theatre Arts majors or minors, with an overall GPA of 3.0 or higher.
The African Studies Program awards multiple scholarships of $250-$500 to students participating in faculty-led summer study abroad programs in Africa. For summer 2018, the scholarship is applicable to these programs: Media in Ghana; Global Health, Development, and Service Learning in Accra; and Music, Drumming, and Dance in Ghana.
Diversity Abroad, in cooperation with the AIFS Foundation, will offer $500 scholarships for fall and spring semester. Five scholarships are available for each semester.
Economically disadvantaged students, first-generation, students with disabilities and ethnic and racially diverse students are strongly encouraged to apply.
The Critical Language Scholarship (CLS) Program is a fully funded summer overseas language and cultural immersion program for American undergraduate and graduate students. With the goal of broadening the base of Americans studying and mastering critical languages and building relationships between the people of the United States and other countries, CLS provides opportunities to a diverse range of students from across the United States at every level of language learning.
