Chinyi joined the GEO team in 2016 to advise for programs in Asia, the Middle East/North Africa region, as well as study abroad scholarships. Currently, she also serves on the Diversity Abroad Task Force for Racially/Ethnically Diverse Students. She spent half of her life in Singapore, and calls various places around the world home, including Guatemala, South Korea, Morocco, and China. Chinyi earned her M.S.E. in Higher Education Administration and B.A. in International Studies (International Journalism) from the University of Dayton in Ohio. She is deeply passionate about intercultural engagement and identity development, and has conducted research in Asia and the MENA region involving study abroad and international student acculturation. In her free time, Chinyi enjoys making music, long runs outdoors, and adding to her language fluency in Spanish, Chinese, Arabic, Korean, and French.
