That's right! Applications are now open for travel-based study abroad programs in summer and fall terms in 2021. All programs remain under continuous review and all student travel is subject to UO travel approval. COVID-19: Health & Safety Abroad
Do you have questions about how to study abroad safely during the pandemic? Here's your chance to get the answers! GEO’s Health, Safety and Risk Manager will answer all of them, from testing requirements to housing matters and the factors that guide GEO as we monitor the safety of program locations, plus much more. All student travel is subject to UO approval but apps are open for Summer 2021! Find out why now is a great time to apply (one of many reasons: GEO has waived the app fee!) and hear more about some great options for exciting global education experiences in locations throughout Europe and the UK.

You want to study abroad at some point during college, but not until there’s more certainty in the world? Come learn more about how it all works and leave knowing what the next steps are.
How Will I Pay for This?
One important consideration when selecting a program is the cost. GEO recognizes that studying abroad is a significant financial commitment, which is why we invite students to come hear more about scholarships, financial aid, and budgeting. Students will learn about why the cost of a program varies and how to use the budget sheet on each GEO webpage.
Academics of Study Abroad: Credits
You have academic goals and study abroad can help you meet them. Did you know that study abroad participation is associated with an 11.4% increase in four-year graduation rates at UO? This session shows you how easy it is to satisfy major, minor and core-ed requirements abroad, and offers tips on how to plan study abroad with your academic advisor.

Parent to Parent Q&A (Open to all family members)
This session is designed for any family member supporting a student who plans to go abroad. Ask any question you want to our panel: GEO Health, Safety & Risk Manager and GEO’s Assistant Director (and the mother of a UO student abroad on a GEO program when the pandemic began).
