Margaret joined the GEO staff as a study abroad advisor in October 2016, where she advises for a number of faculty-led and GEO center programs in Europe. She earned a BA in music from New College of Florida and a MA in French from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where she specialized in second language acquisition and pedagogy. She studied abroad in France, taught English abroad after graduation, and worked for a study abroad program in Paris during graduate school. Some of her favorite travel destinations (other than France) are Poland, Hungary, the Czech Republic, and the French Caribbean island, Guadeloupe. In her free time, Margaret enjoys playing piano, cycling, and exploring Eugene.
