CIEE: Summer Russian Language in St. Petersburg
Note: CIEE has suspended this program due to COVID-19 for Summer 2021
The Russian Language summer program aims to help you begin or continue your Russian language studies while you gain a greater understanding of Russian politics, history, business, and culture.
You will attend classes five days a week with one afternoon reserved for cultural activities. You are required to enroll in two intensive language courses. You may choose two area studies courses or one area studies course and one language course.

Actual credit awarded is determined by the relevant department at your university in consultation with the study abroad office. Check with your study abroad advisor for more information.

If you are interested in applying to a CIEE program, we strongly advise you to meet with an advisor prior to applying.
Selection for the program is based on a review of your written application, transcript(s), and completion of the interview process. Qualified applicants are recommended by GEO Staff. The final selection of participants is made by CIEE.
IMPORTANT: Application for a CIEE program involves two parts:
1. Completion of the GEO application process.
2. Completion of the CIEE application process.
Please note that the GEO deadline supersedes the CIEE deadline. An application fee is due at the time of application and is non-refundable under any circumstances.
