The Melinda Tims Memorial Scholarship is awarded to students at the University of Oregon for study abroad during the summer. One or two scholarships from $750 - $1,000 will be awarded each year.
Scholarship awards may be used to assist one or more students with expenses related to studying abroad, including: course materials, medical insurance, tuition, travel expenses, and housing.
Scholarship criteria is as follows:
- Undergraduate student(s) enrolled at the University of Oregon
- Must demonstrate financial need based on FAFSA/ORSAA. International students complete the ISSS/DGE Statement of Financial Need.
- Preference for programs with a service-learning component. In the event that no recipient can be found in a program with a service-learning component, the scholarship will be awarded to a student participating in the study abroad program through the UO.
