Covadonga

Covadonga is the place where a famous battle took place in the year 722, one that marked the beginning of the “War of the Reconquest,” the eight-centuries effort to take control of the Iberian peninsula and that has become a key historical episode in the mythology of Spanish nationalism. We will visit other nearby towns so that students get to know the beautiful and historical Asturian landscape. 

Barcelona

Explore the historic Gothic Quarter (Barrio Gotico) of Barcelona and the Picasso Museum, visit the Sagrada Familia y Casa Mila  works of Antoni Gaudi.

Andean Exploration

You will have the opportunity to visit and study in several areas of the Andes, from 4,000 feet up to 13,000 feet. The ecosystems will include: mid-elevation cloud forests on both the western and eastern slopes of the Andes; the highest forests in the world (the Polylepis forests); and the grasslands and cushion plant communities of the páramo.

York

Explore this Roman, Viking and ecclesiastical city. Typical destinations and activities include York Minster (large Gothic cathedral), the Roman walls, the Jorvik (Viking) Centre, Fountains Abbey, and Clifford's Tower.

Stratford and Warwick

Tour the sites and monuments of Stratford, including Holy Trinity church, Shakespeare's birthplace and museum, Anne Hathaway's cottage, New Place, A Royal Shakespeare Company (RSC) production at the Courtyard Theatre, and Warwick Castle.
