The Danish Institute Abroad (DIS) offers several need-based and merit-based scholarships in support of students participating in a DIS program. Only DIS students may apply for the scholarships.
Need-Based Scholarships:
- DIS Scholarship- $500-$5,000 for semester programs; $250-$1,000 for summer programs.
- Work-Study Scholarship- up to $500; a limited number of positions are available each semester.
- Diversity Scholarship- up to $5,000 per semester and up to $1,000 for summer programs; aims to promote a diverse student body by providing financial support to students from populations traditionally underrepresented in study abroad including those from diverse ethnic, racial, cultural, economic, sexual orientation and educational backgrounds and first generation college students.
Requirements:
- Must be enrolled in a 4 year university in the US or Canada, with at least three semesters completed at time of application.
- 3.0 GPA minimum.
- Must have fulfilled any relevant program and/or course specific prerequisites.
- Applicants should demonstrate an academically compelling reason why DIS is a good fit.
