how they were perceived by others, how the world looks different now, and how in many ways,

Diversity and Community

Each community is different, but important in making sure everyone has a place on our campus. What would your college experience be without people around you to share it with? Find communities and resources to help you find those people who will make the most of your time here at the UO.

Resources

Many of the questions that LGBTQ students need to consider when preparing to study abroad are the same questions that all students need to consider, but given the range of legal and cultural attitudes, there are tips and questions to consider.

Attitudes towards race, ethnic identity and community vary tremendously from country to country as well as from community to community within a country and from individual to individual.

Standard conveniences in the U.S. may not be available or accessible in other countries, your disabilities office on campus, in coordination with your study abroad office and GEO, can help you prepare and plan accordingly.

LGBTQ+ students successfully study abroad around the world every term. Many of the questions that LGBTQ students need to consider when preparing to study abroad are the same questions that all students need to consider, but given the range of legal and cultural attitudes, there are tips and questions to consider.

If you are a participant considering bringing dependent(s) with you on a GEO program, please contact the GEO office to discuss your options as far ahead of time as possible.
