Studying abroad was one of the best experiences of my life. Being in London felt like being in Eugene during the school year, which is perfect because Eugene is one of my favorite places to be. I really enjoyed my classes and classmates, and I especially loved the excursions to places like Bath and Wimbledon, which ended up being a major highlight. One moment that really stuck with me was visiting the Elixirr agency, where we met Olivia Singer, a UO alum from Oregon.

Studying abroad in the Galapagos Islands was nothing short of life-changing. I didn’t just learn about sustainability, conservation, and public policy in theory, I lived it. Every day, I hiked through volcanic highlands, snorkeled alongside hammerhead sharks and sea turtles, and collaborated with local communities on real-world environmental projects.

My time here in Oviedo has been absolutely wonderful. It's a city that both gets bigger every day and yet if feels intimate and small. I could stay in Asturias another month, truly. The food, especially fabada (a traditional Asturian stew), is incredibly good, and I'm just so happy here. I've been inspired to write more, not just because of the program, but because of the sheer interest that this city provokes from me.
