The Gilman workshop will be held Thursday, Feb. 8, 2018, in Friendly 106 from 4:00 – 5:00 pm.
This scholarship provides up to $5,000 for undergraduates to pursue study abroad and/or international internships. Applicants must be U.S. citizens (permanent residents are not eligible) and must be receiving (or provide proof that they will receive) a Federal Pell Grant. The Gilman seeks to fund students who have been traditionally under-represented in study abroad and those who choose non-traditional study abroad destinations. Additional funds (up to $3,000) may be awarded to students studying critical need languages.
Award recipients must complete a follow-on project upon their return home. Applications are submitted online. Your study abroad advisor and a financial aid officer will need to confirm that you are applying for a study abroad program/ international internship, and that you receive a Pell grant. Applicants are strongly encouraged to submit draft applications to GEO for review at least two weeks prior to the deadline.
