Studying Abroad in London: The Biggest Blessing

There is so much I want to say but I don’t really know how to articulate it into words. I think my feelings remained the same throughout my program; I continuously enjoyed the classes, excursions, and all the activities we did. My perspective of life truly widened. Seeing the city, with such a diverse population, makes me realize how big and different parts of the world are. Being from a small town made it a bit intimidating at first, but after some time I got the hang of big city living.

My trip taught me a lot about myself and others. I got to connect with all the people on my program in an unique and special way. London's rich culture and history made it the perfect place for me to go. Learning about this place through the lens of education had made the experience much more enriching. When visiting places without the educators, it did not feel as meaningful or memorable. I felt like I was learning about things with much more weight and importance. I was able to engage better than I think I ever have before. I figured out so much about my own future goals, who I want to be, and maybe where I want to be.

This trip has been something truly special, I feel like I am the most fortunate person in the world right now. I have been blessed with opportunity, time, places, memories, people and everything in between. I hope I can again study abroad again and get to see the world through this lens again. I have absorbed and taken so much I feel a necessity to give back to the world!
