Spending a term living, working, and experiencing Barcelona was incredible. I was placed with a fashion brand called AMEOS Eyewear. They offer unique, luxury sunglasses in flashy colors and fun designs. The work experience was the highlight of my adventure. Running around the city alongside my boss helped me feel like a local. A typical day consisted of designing AD's, meeting with partner businesses, and planning and executing photoshoots. I was lucky enough to be placed in a company that had a startup mindset with big brand success. The team was small and nimble, and as a result, I was able to contribute and offer ideas on everything we did. As a college student, having that responsibility was amazing. It felt like having a higher up position rather than being an intern. On top of all that, I fell in love with Barcelona. I can confidently say that it was my favorite city out of the six countries I visited in Europe. The vibrant atmosphere and non-stop pace is contagious. Whether it be a concert, market, or live music playing in the streets, there is always something going on. The weather is warm, the architecture is beautiful, and the city never sleeps. There isn't much to dislike.
