Castles, Cliffs, and Classrooms: Studying in Denmark

Studying urban planning Copenhagen – a city often referenced as a standard in our courses at the University of Oregon – was a really cool and super educational experience. I also got to travel all around Europe, including visits to Gothenburg, Sweden and Barcelona, with my class, studying different urban environments. I attended a session of Danish parliament, which though entirely in Danish, was a super interesting way to learn about the transparency of the government. Additionally, I got to go to a Danish high school, and talk with high school students about their experience in Denmark, as well as their perceptions of the U.S. Another memorable experience was visiting Møns Klint, a clay cliff range along the Danish coast, which has amazing views of the ocean. Copenhagen has a lot of amazing history and castles, which make it an amazing city to explore.
