Walking tour of Oviedo: Go back in time to Medieval Oviedo and discover the lasting traces still visible today. Enter the city through its medieval walls and explore the religious, business, and political quarters that have shaped the Oviedo we know today.

Tito Bustillo, Covadonga and Cangas de Onís: Covadonga is the place where a famous battle took place in the year 722, one that marked the beginning of the “War of the Reconquest,” the eight-centuries effort to take control of the Iberian peninsula and that has become a key historical episode in the mythology of Spanish nationalism. We will visit other nearby towns so that students get to know the beautiful and historical Asturian landscape. We will also visit Tito Bustillo, one of the world´s collections of Palaeolithic rock art.

El Capricho de Gaudí and Santillana del Mar: Visit the villa designed by architect Antoní Gaudí in 1883-1185. Santillana del Mar is a lovely medieval town students will get to explore on their own on the way back to Oviedo. 

Oviedo Cathedral: The Cathedral of Oviedo is home to a collection of important relics, such as the santo sudario, a cloth used to cover Jesus after his crucifixion, the sandal of St. Peter, and much more. We will read medieval legends about how these relics came to Oviedo.

Fine Arts Museum and Archeological Museum: The program includes a visit to the Fine Arts and Archeological Museum in Oviedo.
