On the last day of my internship, my parents arrived in Stockholm, and I spent the next three days showing them around the city. While I was making an itinerary of what I wanted to show them, I realized how much I had done during the program. This realization was comforting because in the final two weeks, I had begun to worry whether I had seen or done enough. I wanted to rest after the workday and get a head start on packing, but I kept worrying that there was something in Stockholm I was missing.

Studying abroad was an experience that I will never forget. I was able to meet new people from other schools and make lifelong connections. Copenhagen was truly the most amazing place, and I cannot recommend it enough. In general, my time abroad has been going well. I'm realizing it's my first time living in a big city, and the culture has motivated me and inspired my work. It was a bit of an adventure getting here and settling in, and now that we are in a work routine, I'm truly soaking in the experience and my time abroad. As the time we have here is fleeting, I am trying to make the most of it. We had the opportunity to visit the Alhambra and the Great Mosque, both of which were incredible.

Hello! This is Hana again. Since my first week in London, my time abroad has been just as exciting and fulfilling as I hoped. I came here hoping to gain real-world experience in an international business environment, and through my internship at The Edwardian Hotel, I’ve been learning a lot—especially about AI search and its impact on business success. I’ve seen how businesses now have to think beyond traditional marketing and focus on how they appear in AI-driven search results, how to optimize their digital presence, and how to anticipate customer behavior.

My GlobalWorks internship in Tokyo during the summer of 2024 was a crucial part of my academic year. Through this experience, I grew both personally and professionally, gaining valuable skills in cross-cultural communication, adaptability, and problem-solving in an international work environment.

Studying abroad in Greece was incredible. The program is a once-in-a-lifetime experience! It was so thoughtfully curated. We had the chance to meet amazing people as well as cook and eat amazing food! I had the best time ever traveling in Greece with people I’ll be friends with forever!

I had the wonderful opportunity to study abroad in Stockholm, Sweden, for the spring semester of my junior year. As an environmental science major, I was curious about the engineering side of sustainability, so I opted to study Environmental Engineering. It was an unforgettable semester - we got to explore the ins and outs of clean energy, waste management, and cutting-edge city projects that were underway. My class also traveled to Iceland to learn about geothermal energy, which was nothing short of spectacular.

Being able to experience living in London was life-changing for me. As a first-gen student, GEO made studying abroad extremely accessible and realistic for me. I made some of my best friends through the program, and I was fortunate enough to meet a group of girls with whom I explored and traveled around Europe! I will never forget studying abroad, and it was definitely the most influential four months of my college career.

Studying abroad in London last summer was one of the best decisions I made during my college journey. London has always been a dream of mine, and the Summer Business in London program gave me the perfect opportunity to explore the city and truly experience what it would be like to live there.

I had the opportunity to study abroad in London through the Pathway Oregon scholarship, traveling with a cohort of 20 students for a month. During this time, I explored London in a Global Context while studying contemporary British politics and society. The program combined coursework, excursions, and cultural immersion, allowing me to fully experience life in a new environment. This was my first time leaving the country, so it was a meaningful experience that broadened my perspective and deepened my understanding of different cultures.
