DAAD Graduate Scholarships

The German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) offers funding to graduating seniors and current graduate studentsfor study and/or research at universities or institutes in Germany. These scholarships provide funds for ten months. In general, student applicants must be US citizens enrolled full-time in a degree program. Foreign nationals may be able to apply if they have been full-time graduate students at the UO for more than one academic year at the time of application. Available for students in all fields except medicine. Please note that DAAD applicants are encouraged to also apply the Fulbright Study/Research award for Germany. Eligibility: 

  • US and Canadian Citizens. Non-U.S./Canadian citizens can visit the DAAD’s Scholarship Database and select the country of citizenship to browse eligible grants and scholarships
  • Open to all academic fields
  • Undergraduate (must be enrolled full-time when applying) or graduate student    ​​​​
  • Applicants residing in Germany over 15 months at the application deadline are ineligible
