School for International Training Scholarships

School for International Training (SIT) Scholarships
Several funding opportunities are available through the School for International Training (SIT). Each year, SIT awards more than $1 million in scholarships to SIT study abroad students. SIT offers a variety of scholarships for successful applicants to its programs. These SIT scholarship awards, which range from $500-$5,000, are based on financial need. SIT considers applications on a rolling basis, so you are encouraged to apply early. For more information visit the SIT website.

SIT Pell Grant match
If you are participating in an SIT program during the regular academic year (not the summer), and you receive a Federal Pell Grant, then SIT will automatically match the amount of your Pell Grant. Make sure to complete the scholarship process of the SIT application. SIT offers many other scholarships in addition to the Pell Grant Match, as mentioned above, so students should complete the SIT scholarship process.

SIT/UO Targeted Scholarship
SIT also provides funding to the University of Oregon to award to Oregon residents who are participating in SIT programs. Oregon residents applying for SIT programs are automatically considered for this funding. The awards are up to $3,000 for summer students and up to $5,000 for semester students. This funding is primarily need-based.

Note: If you receive an SIT/UO Targeted Scholarship, you are still eligible for the Pell Grant Match but not for the other general SIT scholarships.
