College of Arts and Sciences Scholarships

The UO College of Arts and Sciences (CAS) offers numerous undergraduate scholarships and graduate fellowships for continuing students. Many of these scholarships may be applied to your study abroad program costs. CAS offers different awards based on major, financial need, and merit. 

Two awards in particular are especially relevant to study abroad and global internships:  

Hildegard Kurz Foreign Language Scholarship  

  • $1,000 - $3,000
  • Available to Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors.
  • Student must be studying a foreign language.
  • Can be used for study abroad abroad during the academic year – mention these plans in your essay.
  • Student must demonstrate financial need.

HExperiential Learning Scholarship

  • $500 - $5,000
  • For undergraduate students pursuing experiential learning opportunities, such as an unpaid internship, research opportunity, or service-learning experience.
  • Preference will be given to applicants with financial need, as determined by the Office of Student Financial Aid & Scholarships.
  • Available to Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors.
  • 3.0 GPA
  • Major in the College of Arts and Sciences

Experiential Learning Scholarship: Week 7 of Winter and Spring terms. 

All other CAS Scholarships: Early March
