STEM in London week 1 excursions to the Science Museum to look at the history of medicine in the UK (the attached photo). And a trip to Kew Garden to meet with a world renowned botanist and expert in plant identification and conservation across the continent of Africa. He showed us the herbarium sample of this plant "Uvariopsis dicaprio, named after actor Leonardo DiCaprio, is found only in the Ebo forest in Cameroon, one of the largest intact rainforests in the African nation. It honours the Hollywood star's efforts to raise awareness of the threat of logging in the area, following permission being granted by the nation's government in July 2020.  The paper, a collaboration between Cameroonian scientists and Kew Gardens in the UK, is one of the first new species of 2022." https://www.nhm.ac.uk/discover/news/2022/january/tree-named-after-Leona…  We got to see it in a private tour even before Leonardo DiCaprio has been able to come for a private tour!
