My experience in the Canary Islands was one of color, winding roads, fiesta music, waves, and research!
Living in an established neighborhood of locals and taking classes at a professional firm integrated us into the community in a way that few people get to experience as a traveler. Waving hello to our neighbors and becoming a regular at the coffee shop around the corner added so much meaning and warmth to our daily lives and to our class project.
I would recommend studying abroad to anyone looking for some inspiration and adventure to inform both their studies and their personal vision of their future.
