Carosella, a recent graduate of the University of Oregon, is using her final bit of coursework to study abroad. She decided to take this opportunity to gain more experience before fully applying for jobs.

One of Carosella's favorite parts of studying abroad has been witnessing the different day-to-day life and trying to develop her own routine within this new cultural context. "It's been challenging but also really fun and enjoyable to see new things," she says.

Beyond the personal growth, Carosella explains that the study abroad experience has expanded her perspective. "It's been really challenging to have to try and translate at all parts of the day. So it's really helped me gain a greater respect for bilingual speakers and kind of like having that new perspective of the challenge that it takes but also how rewarding it can be when you can tell you're getting better and understanding."

Carosella hopes that this final academic experience abroad will provide her with valuable skills and insights to carry into her future career. By immersing herself in a different culture and navigating the language barriers, she's developed a deeper appreciation for the complexities of cross-cultural communication.

Overall, Carosella's study abroad journey has been both challenging and rewarding, equipping her with new perspectives and experiences to draw upon as she transitions from student to professional.
