Learning to Fight Climate Change in Samoa

The experience was great and I felt immersed in the culture of Samoa, learning the language , the customs, and eating the food, all while learning about climate change, the environment, and how indigenous islanders adapt to climate change.

This experience allowed me to explore a whole new part of the world I saw parts of nature that was new to me and the new environment helped me gain an understanding of how small islands are impacted by climate change.

I felt very welcomed and taken care of and I wasn't often concerned for my safety and the group who I was with was great and I bonded with them, I gained connections that will stay with me.

This program was beneficial for my learning but I believe it helped me grow as a person as well.
