The Sustainable Business in Costa Rica Program offers students the opportunity to complete internships as a form of experiential learning. These internships are designed to help students gain practical experience in sustainable business, develop relevant skills, and build professional connections.During the one-month internship, students work closely with a company on a pre-selected project aimed at enhancing the organization’s sustainability practices. Projects may include:

• Developing and implementing online marketing campaigns to promote eco-friendly products or events
• Conducting market research to identify sustainable business opportunities
• Analyzing and optimizing supply chains to reduce environmental impact
• Assisting in the creation of corporate social responsibility reports

This hands-on experience enables students to apply their skills in a real-world setting, contribute to an organization’s sustainability goals, and gain valuable insight into the intersection of business and environmental stewardship.Note: Students with intermediate or lower Spanish proficiency may choose to complete their internship in English.

Final grade is Pass / No Pass
