Clark Honors College

Clark Honors College students can apply to different scholarships to study abroad, including two specifically created to serve Honors Students at the UO:

Roger and Ginny Reich Scholarship for Study Abroad - Tentatively Available

The Roger and Ginny Reich Scholarship awards $1,000 to a student at the Clark Honors College attending a UO-sponsored study abroad program for a minimum of one full term. Applicants must have a 3.70 GPA. 

Council on International Educational Exchange Scholarships

Council on International Educational Exchange (CIEE) scholarships are available only to CIEE program participants. These grants are awarded each year to students who demonstrate both academic excellence and financial need. The awards are applied directly to the applicant’s CIEE program fee. Mills Study Abroad Scholarship

The Mills Scholarship supports UO students participating in any GEO or GEO-sponsored study abroad program. Approximately 20-30 students per year are awarded a $500 Mills Scholarship. Selection is based on financial need, academic merit, and a well-written scholarship application. The GEO Scholarships Committee will review applications

CMAE: Diversity Excellence Scholars Abroad

The Center for Multicultural Academic Excellence is committed to the access, retention, and engagement of under-represented and multiple-identity students. CMAE provides support and leadership development, cultural programming, academic services, and dedicated space. Our mission is to ensure that students are provided with opportunities to explore, understand, and affirm the complexities of cultural identity that shape the human experience. We provide access to the resources that students need to be successful a the UO and beyond.

Global Oregon Summer Grants

The Global Oregon Initiative invites UO undergraduate students to apply for one of ten $500 research awards and UO graduate students to apply for one of five $2,000 research awards offered to support global education experiences (intensive study abroad, international internships, international research opportunities, participation in international events). The award can be used for activities between May 1, 2017 and April 1, 2018.

GEO Passport Grant

Obtaining a passport is one of the first steps to complete when considering studying abroad. In an effort to support University of Oregon student participation in study abroad programs, the Division of Global Engagement has funded a passport initiative. This initiative awards a grant that covers the cost of a U.S. passport book and first-time processing fee to all eligible freshman and sophomore standing students.

Smith Scholarship

The Smith Family Study Abroad Scholarship provides multiple awards of up to $1,000 for University of Oregon students who will study, intern or conduct research outside the United States. Selection is based on academic merit, project proposal, and a well-completed scholarship application. The GEO Scholarships Committee will review applications and make the awards.
