A Life-Changing Chapter in London

Studying abroad was one of the best experiences of my life. Being in London felt like being in Eugene during the school year, which is perfect because Eugene is one of my favorite places to be. I really enjoyed my classes and classmates, and I especially loved the excursions to places like Bath and Wimbledon, which ended up being a major highlight. One moment that really stuck with me was visiting the Elixirr agency, where we met Olivia Singer, a UO alum from Oregon. She shared that she did not know exactly what she wanted to do after college, and said it was okay not to have it all figured out. That message really resonated with me.

Studying abroad reminded me that learning is not just about academics. It is also about learning more about yourself. I became even more independent than I already was in Eugene, experienced life in a different country, and connected with amazing people along the way. My favorite part was taking photos of the gorgeous city because I felt constantly inspired. This experience made me feel like anything was possible. It helped me see that advertising really is the right major for me, even if I am still unsure of what exact path I want to take. Thank you, study abroad, for giving me a life-changing experience and helping me see the world in a new light.
