Initially from a farm in northern California, Emma has lived in four U.S. states and eight countries across four continents. Most of her adult career has been spent abroad and, after earning her MA in International Education from NYU, Emma lived in Morocco for six years. She speaks French and some Darija and has studied Arabic and Spanish. In her free time, she loves hiking and spending time with her husband, two daughters, and their German Shepherd, Rio.
