Studying Abroad: Worth Every Penny
Studying in Ireland was by far one of the best experiences of my life. This was the first time I have ever traveled out of the country, and it was such a great time. I had the opportunity to visit so many beautiful places, and it is worth every dollar spent. I highly suggest studying abroad if the opportunity is granted to you because you will not experience anything like it!

Exploring PR & Advertising Agencies in London
Go study abroad! Best experience ever! Studying abroad gave me the opportunity to learn more about a different culture and lifestyle. It allowed to make new connections and friends. Getting to go to different agencies in the advertising and PR field opened my eyes to where I could see myself working in the future and their day-to-day work routine. I even learned a lot of cool British terms that I can’t stop saying. While I’ve left London, it will never leave me.

My Amazing Summer in Lecce
This summer, I studied abroad in Lecce, Italy in the Intensive Language Program. I had an amazing time, and I made so many new friends! I shared an apartment with seven other people, and I was nervous about it in the beginning, but spending time with them was one of my favorite parts of the entire program. If you are fortunate enough to be able to study abroad, I highly recommend!

The Best Time to Travel? During College!
I'm halfway through my study abroad, and I cannot recommend it enough. If there is a time to travel, it is during college. Since arriving in Spain, I have been to eight different cities, learned more Spanish than I thought, and gained a well-rounded perspective on culture in Spain and the U.S. I have met new people from the UO and various countries within Europe. I have explored cathedrals much older than the U.S. – and I still have another month before I return to the UO!

Unforgettable Friendships in the Dolomites
Exploring the Dolomites is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity! Professor Lollini facilitates a space to reflect, grow, and connect in nature, creating an impactful experience regardless of your background or major. The friends I made in the Dolomites are some of my best friends to this day and people I never would have met without this program.

A Summer of Design and Discovery in Singapore
This summer I had the opportunity to do a graphic design internship in Singapore as a GlobalWorks student. I got to work in a local creative agency during the week and travel around Southeast Asia during the weekends and after the eight-week program. I learned so much about myself and my career goals during the process. My biggest takeaway from the experience was realizing how much of the world I have yet to see–and also how good Singaporean chicken rice is!

My Extraordinary Summer in Chile
Studying aboard through GEO's Advertising and PR in Chile program was a wonderful experience. We had the opportunity to create an advertising campaign for Kingston Family Vineyards, a Chilean-American Winery located in the Chile's Casablanca Valley. Using equipment I lent from the J-Cage in the SOJC, I was able to capture and edit photos to use throughout our campaign!
My Transformative Experience in Melbourne
Studying abroad was a transformative experience that pushed me out of my comfort zone and broadened my perspective on both the world and myself. Immersing myself in a new culture helped me develop adaptability, independence, and a deeper appreciation for different ways of thinking and communicating. It also reinforced my love for storytelling and observing how media, advertising, and journalism vary across cultures. What I loved most was the opportunity to connect with people from diverse backgrounds and gain insight into their perspectives.
