Madrid

Visit the Prado Museum, with paintings from Rembrandt, Velazquez, Goya and more. Tour to the Reina Sofia Museum, a contemporary art museum housing paintings of Salvador Dalí, Pablo Picasso and many other twentieth century artists. 

Summer students will not visit Madrid as part of program. 

Medieval Route

Visit the Coca Castle in the providence of Segovia which is one of the best Mudejar castles in the world. Students will also visit the Cloister of the Monastery of Santa María de Nieva and learn about the thriving wine business of monks there in the Middle Ages. Students will also visit the Herrero winery in the municipality of Nieva and try wines made exclusively with grapes from the province of Segovia.

Mendoza

Enjoy an excursion to Mendoza to visit Cerro de la Gloria, the Andes mountains, and award-winning Malbec wineries throughout the province.

Rosario and Surrounding Area

Other visits to sites of interest in and near Rosario are scheduled by the instructors for each of the content courses. Activities typically include visits to museums, cultural sites, historic monuments and local organizations relevant to the courses. Examples include: Tango lessons, Walking tour of Rosario, Sailing on the Paraná River, Centro de Expresiones Contemporáneas, Macro Museum, Centro Cultural Parque España, Museo de la Memoria, Milongas Las Chiruzas, La Bolsa de Comercio de Rosario, and Museo Municipal de Bellas Artes Juan B. Castagnino

Cordoba

Explore the second largest city in Argentina and view the historic Iglesia de Nuestra Señora de la Asunción (Cathedral of Córdoba). The church is a National Historic Monument of Argentina.

Oviedo Walking Tour

Go back in time to Medieval Oviedo and discover the lasting traces still visible today. Enter the city through its medieval walls and explore the religious, business, and political quarters that have shaped the Oviedo we know today.

Salamanca

Tour the old and new cathedrals, visit the Universidad de Salamanca y Colegios Mayores and explore the Plaza Mayor. Visit the central monuments of the city, home to Spain's oldest university.
