Program Overview

Location Overview

As one of the largest cities in the world, Shanghai offers a vibrant blend of modernity and tradition. Located on China’s central coast, the city is known for its impressive skyline, colonial-era architecture, and rich cultural history. Shanghai is a major center for trade, technology, and innovation, while also being a gateway to experiencing the essence of Chinese culture, from ancient temples to cutting-edge skyscrapers.

Mandarin Chinese is the official language of Shanghai, though English is commonly spoken in business and tourist areas. While studying here, you’ll experience a mild climate, with winters that are cool and summers that are hot and humid. Shanghai offers an exciting combination of East and West, where you can explore its culinary delights, enjoy the arts, and experience the pulse of a city constantly on the move. A study abroad program in Shanghai will immerse you in an energetic city filled with history, culture, and endless opportunities for adventure.
