Local excursions will include visits to museums, cultural centers, memorial sites, government offices, and non-governmental organizations dedicated to peace and the promotion and protection of human rights.Day-trips: Students will participate in 1-2 day-long trips to Croatian towns to visit cultural events (e.g. festivals) and/or visit human rights organizations.  The purpose of the day-trip excursion is for students to better understand how human rights and peace studies are embedded into local Croatian culture.  Excursions will also help students understand how human rights organizations operate outside the capital of Zagreb.
