Fellowships of up to $6,500 are available to help offset travel and living expenses for students pursuing internships in East and Southeast Asia.
Managed by the UO Center for Asian and Pacific Studies (CAPS), the Freeman Fellowship is made possible through the generous support of the Freeman Foundation, one of the premier scholarships advancing career development opportunities for UO undergraduate and graduate students.
Award amounts are determined based on the duration of the internship, its location, associated program costs, and the applicant’s financial need.
Students who apply for the GlobalWorks International Internship Program are automatically considered for this Fellowship if they meet the below criteria, but they must also submit a copy of their Financial Aid Award Offer as well as the name and email of one reference who can provide a letter of recommendation.
