The GEO Study Abroad Scholarship for Students with Disabilities is a planning scholarship available to UO students who have a documented disability. Recipients of the scholarship can use the award to study abroad on a GEO-sponsored program at any time during their college career at the UO. A number of $1,000-$3,000 scholarships will be awarded each year to help support students with documented disabilities who aspire to study abroad.
- Applicants must be enrolled as degree-seeking undergraduate or graduate students at the UO.
- Applicants must have their physical and/or mental disability documented with the UO’s Accessible Education Center.
- Applicants must demonstrate financial need (based on FAFSA). International students will complete the Financial Resources Form, which is available in the online application for this scholarship.
Note: you do not need to know which program you plan to participate in when you apply for the scholarship, and applying for the scholarship does not mean you are committing to a study abroad program.
