Program Overview

Sometimes when a city is faced with hardship, it comes out the other side more beautiful than it was before; such is the story of Madrid. After more than a decade of economic and political turmoil in the 2010s, Madrid has channeled its creativity to become a vibrant hub of local shops and creators alongside a flourishing tourism scene and an influx of young national and international immigrants.

As the capital of Spain, located right in the center of the country, Madrid houses the government offices as well as the headquarters for national financial institutions and the Spanish Stock Market. Culturally, Madrid has modern food, vibrant nightlife, forward-thinking fashion, unforgettable art and music, and a passion for football (soccer) that will certainly keep students entertained.
