Fulbright Scholarships
The Fulbright U.S. Student Program provides grants for individually designed study, research projects, or English Teaching Assistant Programs.
GEO Ambassador Scholarship
The GEO Ambassador Scholarship is a scholarship available to UO applying to GEO faculty-led programs, GEO Center programs, Exchange programs, or GlobalWorks Internships. Individual awards range from $500-$1,000.
Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship
The Gilman Scholarship provides up to $5,000 for undergraduate students to pursue study abroad and/or international internships. Applicants must be U.S. citizens and must be receiving the Pell Grant as part of their financial aid through FAFSA. The Gilman Scholarship seeks to fund students who have been traditionally under-represented in study abroad and those who whose study abroad program is well aligned with their academic and professional goals.
Boren Undergraduate Scholarship
The Boren Scholarship is awarded to undergraduate students who plan to study abroad to learn a critical language through immersion. Preference is given to students interested in pursuing a career in public service and who plan to study abroad in a year-long program. Applicants must be U.S. citizens and selection is based on academic merit. The award is $12,500 for one semester and $25,000 for a full academic year. An $8,000 award is available for Summer programs (STEM majors only for Summer).
Map Your Future
GEO is passionate about study abroad and hopes that every student is able to participate in a life-changing experience abroad. With this in mind, GEO offers the Map Your Future Scholarship to freshmen that can be used for a study abroad program during your college career. A number of $1,000 scholarships will be awarded. These scholarship funds can be used for an eligible study abroad program, any term.
DAAD Graduate Scholarships
The German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) offers funding to graduating seniors and current graduate studentsfor study and/or research at universities or institutes in Germany. These scholarships provide funds for ten months. In general, student applicants must be US citizens enrolled full-time in a degree program. Foreign nationals may be able to apply if they have been full-time graduate students at the UO for more than one academic year at the time of application. Available for students in all fields except medicine.
George J. Mitchell Scholarship
The George J. Mitchell Scholarship Program, named to honor former US Senator George Mitchell's pivotal contribution to the Northern Ireland peace process, is designed to introduce and connect generations of future American leaders to the island of Ireland, while recognizing and fostering intellectual achievement, leadership, and a commitment to community and public service.
Charles B. Rangel International Graduate Fellowship
The Rangel Program is a collaborative effort between Howard University and the U.S. State Department that seeks to attract and prepare outstanding young people for careers as diplomats in the Foreign Service of the U.S. Department of State.
