Explore the second largest city in Argentina and view the historic Iglesia de Nuestra Señora de la Asunción (Cathedral of Córdoba). The church is a National Historic Monument of Argentina.

Take a weekend to visit Buenos Aires with walking tours of the Old Quarter and San Telmo and a visit to the Museo del Arte Latinoamericano de Buenos Aires.

Go back in time to Medieval Oviedo and discover the lasting traces still visible today. Enter the city through its medieval walls and explore the religious, business, and political quarters that have shaped the Oviedo we know today.

Tour the old and new cathedrals, visit the Universidad de Salamanca y Colegios Mayores and explore the Plaza Mayor. Visit the central monuments of the city, home to Spain's oldest university.

The program includes a visit to the Fine Arts or Archeological Museum in Oviedo. The visit will be guided by an art history professor and GEO staff members.

At León, tour the Cathedral, the Basilica de San Isidoro and the Casa de los Botines. At Astorga, visit the Museo Diocesano de Gaudi, Cathedral and the Museo del Chocolate.

Enjoy welcome and farewell meals hosted by GEO, movie nights at the GEO Center, and tapas nights with professors and staff.

Covadonga is the place where a famous battle took place in the year 722, one that marked the beginning of the “War of the Reconquest,” the eight-centuries effort to take control of the Iberian peninsula and that has become a key historical episode in the mythology of Spanish nationalism. We will visit other nearby towns so that students get to know the beautiful and historical Asturian landscape. 

See Burgos, home to El Cid, and visit the Gothic Cathedral. At La Rioja, tour the Museo del Vino, San Millan Yuso and Suso Monasteries, considered to be the "Cradle of the Spanish Language."

With Bilbao as a home base, explore the Old Quarter of the city and its two well known museums, The Guggenheim and the Museo de Bellas Artes. Spend a day in San Sebastián, home of the famous film festival, elegant shops and tapas bars and La Concha beach.
