Stockholm, a major city founded more than 700 years ago, combines old-world charm with the vibrant life of a modern European capital. Choose a core course from 11 academic programs and select from over 50 upper-level elective courses. All courses are taught in English. Areas of study include Gender and Sexuality, Economics, International Studies, Literature, Biomedicine, Neuroscience, Psychology, Public Health, Political Science, and Swedish Language and Culture. Courses are taught by Swedish and European faculty who are also practitioners in their fields, and courses include excursions and field trips in order to allow students to see the industry at work. These intellectually stimulating courses challenge students to examine issues from various perspectives as they debate, research, analyze, and reflect on contemporary topics and relevant issues.
Stockholm, the capital of Sweden, was built on 14 islands, connected by 57 bridges, earning the Swedish capital the nickname "Beauty on the Water." IT is the cultural, media, political, and economic center of Sweden with over 1.6 million inhabitants. Its rich history dates back to the 13th Century. Stockholm is home to many museums, universities, government offices, cathedrals, and a royal palace.
