Dana earned her B.A. in Political Science from the University of California, Davis, and her M.A. in International Human Rights from the Korbel School of International Studies at the University of Denver. As an undergraduate, she studied at the Faculty of Political Science in Grenoble, France. As a graduate student, she was an international fellow in Croatia and Poland.  Before joining the University of Oregon, Dana held various roles in the field of international development, including positions with several non-profits focused on democracy promotion, as well as with USAID, where she concentrated on democracy, governance, human rights, education, and youth empowerment. She has worked in Haiti, Bosnia, Mozambique, Uzbekistan, the Democratic Republic of Congo, and Ethiopia. In her free time, Dana enjoys live music, spending time outdoors, and is an avid skier.
