This scholarship supports undergraduate students in the College of Arts and Sciences studying Chinese and accepted to a University of Oregon-sponsored study abroad program in mainland China, Hong Kong, or Taiwan. Scholarship amounts can range from $1,000-$2,000.

The scholarship may be used to assist students with all standard educational expenses including tuition, fees, books, miscellaneous supplies, room and board, and travel associated with the study abroad experience.

Eligibility

• Undergraduate standing
• Study of Chinese
• Academic merit
• Students must have completed at least 1 year of Chinese language study
• Students must be accepted to a UO-sponsored study abroad program in mainland China, Hong Kong, or Taiwan for a minimum of 6 months of study

Preference will be given to Oregon residents and Chinese majors.
