This program will explore questions around the social justice of food equity in relationship to food production and the consumption chain along with enhancing your critical thinking skills on the subject of ethics in the food system in consideration of human, animal, and environmental well-being. A special focus of this program will allow you to explore the impact that humans have on the food system and vice versa from a social justice perspective and by comparing the European and American systems.

This exchange program is based on intensive self-motivated study in many fields of the humanities, natural, and social sciences. You may take courses in environmental sciences, film and television studies, art history, archaeology, and cultural resource management.
The University of Oslo (UiO) is Norway's oldest institution for research and higher education, with 28,000 students. The university celebrated its 200th anniversary in 2011. UiO has 8 faculties, 2 museums and several centers. Located in the capital of Norway, the university sits on the country’s southern coast at the head of the Oslofjord. The city of Oslo is known for its green spaces and museums. Many of these are on the Bygdøy Peninsula, including the waterside Norwegian Maritime Museum and the Viking Ship Museum, with Viking ships from the 9th century.
The city of Poitiers has a history of serving as a university center since the Middle Ages. The University of Poitiers was established in 1431 by Pope Eugene IV and King Charles VII, and is known for educating many famous philosophers and scientists – including François Rabelais and René Descartes, Joachim du Bellay, Guez de Balzac – throughout the ages. It is one of the oldest universities in Europe.

The University of Sheffield was founded in 1905, has over 27,000 students enrolled including almost 4,00 international students, and is considered one of the best universities in the UK. Sheffield is located in northern England, in South Yorkshire, and is close to Manchester, Leeds, Nottingham, and the Peak District. Students can choose courses from over 30 different subject areas and will study alongside British and international students.
In this program, you will enroll for courses at USC Sunshine Coast, a public Australian university serving 12,000 students. USC is growing fast and offers a large variety of programs all including hands-on training, practical experience, and internships. The university is home to some of the most innovative learning and visualization facilities in Australia.

The University of Exeter is a top ranked British university (member of the "Russell Group" the UK equivalent of the Ivy League) with a very strong international reputation for academics and research. The university has over 22,000 students, including 18,000 undergraduates. Teaching is aligned with research and there is a strong network of support services for international students.

The program is ideal if you are interested in an intensive study format in many fields of the humanities, natural and social sciences, and business. Uppsala University offers more than 700 courses that are taught in English to incoming exchange students.
