Examines the intersection of architecture and agriculture for successful design and sustainable production of edible crops inside of or on the surface of urban buildings. In this course, students will apply horticultural and agronomic principles to agricultural systems which are integrated into architectural design; evaluate and critique architectural designs, in ways that marry architecture design principles with good horticultural system design; reflect upon and synthesize diverse disciplinary perspectives necessary for successful building integrated agriculture, via discussion and writing.
