Program Overview

Location Overview:

As the capital of the Republic of Ireland, Dublin is one of the liveliest cities in Europe. Dublin has one of the youngest populations in Europe, which is felt throughout the city. From the late-night craic in Temple Bar to intellectual conversations on some of Europe’s oldest campuses to soaking in the views of the Irish Sea from the top of Killeney Hill, this port city has something for everyone.

After Brexit, many companies are relocating from the UK to Ireland, making it a rapidly growing and attractive country for multinational companies to establish headquarters — and for you to start networking for your future global career. As an English-speaking country, Ireland is a great place for students without knowledge of a second language to get the most out of their GlobalWorks international internship experience.

What is GlobalWorks?

GlobalWorks internships are personalized internship programs that bring you out of the country, and into the workplace. We connect academic study with real-world experiences by providing full-time international internship opportunities to UO students in various career fields. Working with local professional internship providers in locations around the world, we provide individualized placements for UO students. Students earn UO credits and life-changing work experience in a different culture. Immerse yourself in a new city, earn UO course credits, and gain professional experience with a GlobalWorks internship.
