International Trade and Export Diagnosis

This course aims to provide a general understanding of international trade and, more specifically, knowledge of techniques used in export practice. It is composed of two parts. The first part deals with customs procedures, the overall international carriage of goods and also the techniques and tools of international payment. The second part, entitled Export Diagnosis, is a project based on a real case that you and other students will conduct. It will familiarize you with the conditions that SMEs have to meet in order to implement a successful export strategy.

Introduction to Probability and Statistics

You will gain an understanding of the basics of confidence intervals and hypothesis testing in this course. You will learn to recognize the appropriate hypothesis test, carry out tests, and compute corresponding confidence levels. You will learn the two sample t-test, two sample proportions, z-test, as well as others, and how to carry out these tests and interpret results. The course will also cover data collection and sampling.

Marketing Strategy

This course aims to develop your competencies at writing a Strategic Marketing Plan for a company. In order to be able to build up a consistent document that will assist the company with efficient strategic decisions in marketing, you will first need to understand the key new concepts in strategic marketing and to build upon their learning from earlier classes in Principles in Marketing (first year) and Advanced Marketing (second year).

The environment in which organisations operate is referred to as VUCA: Volatile, Uncertain, Complex and Ambiguous. Part of what drives this is increasing globalisation. No longer are your colleagues just local, teams are spread across countries and time zones with different languages and cultures. Organisations expect their employees to be able to effectively work remotely with people who have different cultural norms and different ways of communicating.

China's Macroeconomic Impact

Since 1978 when China initiated economic reforms and opening up policies, the Chinese economy has been one of the fastest growing economies. China is now the world's second biggest economy and second biggest exporter. What are the impacts of China's rise on the global economy? How will other countries react to China's economic emergence? This course is designed to provide students with the knowledge of what has happened to China and its impact on global economy in the last three decades.

Business Simulation in Angers

This course aims to refresh and update your understanding of management principles. It will help you develop your own skills as future managers and serve to identify features of excellent companies in which you may wish to work. The first part of the course is a review of fundamental concepts of management and management processes. It is centered on the main functions of management such as planning, organization, leadership and controlling. The second and main part of the course will be a business strategy game which applies the theoretical knowledge acquired in the first part of the course.
