My experience studying abroad in Ireland was one that entered my life exactly when I most needed it. I feel so fortunate to come out of this program a stronger filmmaker that can now confidently edit and shoot my own films. I truly loved the work I was able to accomplish in such a short amount of time. However, the friendships I formed and the memories I was able to make will last a lifetime. I was surprised that it was the moments you don’t excessively plan for that linger. The late nights when we explored the city, went on long rants about films and tropes whilst getting lost on the way back to our incredible host families are some of my favorites.
The photos I submitted are of a group assignment for the course, Ireland Onscreen, taught by Professor Michael Aronson. We were required to explore Ireland to find film locations that were used in shows and movies. The group photo in front of the Iron Throne was taken in Belfast, where my friends and I took the Game of Thrones Studio Tour and loved every second.
