For six weeks this summer, go to Ashoka University, a prestigious, liberal arts University located near New Delhi, for a unique learning experience in a global classroom with Ashoka students. The residential campus provides a great opportunity to learn about India, get a global perspective in classroom discussions and debates, and explore New Delhi and other cities over the weekends to get a cultural taste of a vibrant country. The campus is located near the capital city, New Delhi, and visiting students may travel and explore the vibrant, multi-cultural metropolis and beyond during their time at Ashoka.

This program has a rolling admission application process: GEO staff will complete a review of the application materials of complete applications in the order that they are submitted (“first come, first serve”). Decisions about your enrollment will be made after you submit a complete application. Students are encouraged to complete applications and commit to programs early.
Successful applicants will receive a nomination from GEO. Selection will be based on a holistic review of your application. This includes a review of your GPA, transcripts (including courses taken and in-progress), any additional requirements or prerequisites (see section "Additional Requirements"), and written statements.
Applying for this program involves 2 steps. If you receive a nomination from GEO, you will also need to complete the host university's application, which is administered and reviewed by your host university directly. Instructions will be provided after acceptance by GEO. The host university makes the final decision regarding acceptance into the program.

At the University of Oregon, each course will count as 5 UO credits. In total, a UO student will earn 10 credits during the summer.
All courses offered are recognized and approved for academic credit by various GEO partner institutions. Actual credit awarded is determined by the relevant department at your university in consultation with the study abroad office. Each course is 40 contact hours.

Housing Description
Students are guaranteed campus accommodation in fully-furnished residence halls with laundry service. Rooms are on double-occupancy basis. Single rooms are not available. You will be housed with Ashoka students to encourage intercultural exchange. Students receive a meal plan (buffet and combo meals) at the dining facilities of Ashoka.
A full residential campus with fully air-conditioned rooms, common student lounges, state of the art classrooms and sprawling lawns, the Ashoka University campus is designed for a vibrant student life. A 50,000 feet indoor sports complex with a swimming pool offers several opportunities in the summer. Students can choose from a range of sporting activities.
Visiting students are welcome to use the campus facilities while studying at Ashoka including library, campus shuttle, sport facilities, health services and more.
Student housing is included in the program fee.
