Bernice was born and raised in Ghana, West Africa. She has been in the United States for most of her adult years so it's a natural second home. Prior to working with DGE, she worked as Academic Program Coordinator for the Counseling Psychology & Human Services department, and LLM/Career Center Coordinator for the UO School of Law. She is currently working on completing her Doctorate in Educational Leadership at the University of Oregon. She has two energetic boys who keep her busy outside work. She loves garage sales, home improvements/decorations, and spending quality time with family and friends.
